Graphic design for fair stand for ‘School-tool’. For the first time Studio Voortman & Girod has made a graphic design for a company. The stand itself was not as important as the presentation, to make the graphic design eye-catching and to deliver the information as best as possible. The stand was 10m2 and stood on the trade fair ‘IPON’ 2008 in Utrecht. The client, Trautwein Interactive, brings a new ICT product for schools on the market . (www.school-tool.nl) The whole presentation had to appeal to different groups of people (director of a school, webmaster of school), and it had to be easy to read and understand because the product itself is quite complicated. |

School-tool is a new product. The presentation material for the fair there had to contain flyers, posters, writing paper, a website style, business cards, a logo and the stand. The posters and the flyers were made for the stand and had to be eye-catchers. School-tool is a digital product and hard to make understandable in one eye-view. Besides that, is had also to be understandable for people who don’t know anything about ICT. That’s why there is chosen for a clear logo: the pencils associate with students working and a tool. By using a picture there is a clear and eye-catching image. |

The three colours which are used represent the three most important parts: internet, intranet, class-sites. By using this ‘coloursystem’, there could also be made a clear schedule. |

The flyer was folded in a certain way, just so that you can explain the 3 different subjects for the two main target groups: directors and webmasters of schools. One side of the the flyer was reserved for advertising text, the other for a more techincal side of the product. Each part had it's own colour wich made a clear presentation |

Eventualy the stand attracted a lot of attention, also because of the fact that the colours were much brighter than those of it's surrounding neighbours. Visitors were drawn into the stand. The floor was made out of yellow floor tiles and the walls were upholstered in white fabric. The furniture was also white. By using just these relative simple items the overall look was a fresh and clean stand with a bright presentation. |
