Carpet Ssstoell Kkkrukk Gates Ssstoell in Plexwood

This range of gates in the residential area Transvaal in The Hague, is a result of the combined efforts of Diederik Voortman and Job Nieman of Qenep Architecture and Product development (www.qenep.nl), in assignment of Steadion, a social housing cooperation. The range is based on a waving field of reed and is ‘light’ of ambiance. By using only horizontal parts for the construction, the image of a waving field of reed remains intact.

For the different ports different gates are designed. Like gates to the back gardens and fixed gates of different sizes. The buiding blocks are designed by Kuhne & Co from Rotterdam and Osorio Lobato Architecten from Scheveningen. Every gate is different, because the welder got a certain way of freedom in making the gates. After this they were powder coated.
