Start realisation Rotterdam Port Experience / Studio Voortman & Girod wins pitch.

Studio Voortman & Girod has won a pitch for designing a waiting area for the Rotterdam Port Experience. The building of the waiting area will start soon.

The Rotterdam Port Experience is a public attraction about the port of Rotterdam and the city. A project of the 'Havenbedrijf Rotterdam' supported by the community of Rotterdam. The concept has been made by Bert Kranendonk, Kranendonk Experience Network BV takes care of the production.

‘Ssstoell’ made in Plexwood.

Plexwood (www.plexwood.nl) supplied Studio Voortman & Girod with sheets of 3 millimeter pine Plexwood glued on 6 millimeter meranti multiplex. The 'Ssstoell' has got more expression now.

Graphic design for fair stand for ‘School-tool’.

Studio Voortman & Girod has made a graphic design for a company for the first time. De stand itself was less important then the presentation, to make the graphic design eye-catching and to bring over the information as best as possible.

The stand was 10m2 and stood on the trade fair ‘IPON’ 2008 in Utrecht.

The client, Trautwein Interactive, brings a new ICT product for schools on the market . (www.school-tool.nl) The whole presentation had to appeal to different groups of people (director of a school, webmaster of school), and it had to be easy to read and understand because the product itself is quite complicated.

Realisation of the showroom for jewellery and a music studio.

The realisation of the showroom for jewellery and a music studio will start soon. The client wanted an office with two working areas, a showroom for jewellery and a toilet and a pantry in one space. The showroom also has to be sound insulated, because the space is going to be used as a music studio as well.

The total floor plan is around 40m2.
