Design for the competition ‘Eenvoud’ (‘Simplicity’) at Almere. This design called ‘Tweevoud’ (‘in two’) consists out of two oldfashioned sheds for flower bulbs, that is cut in two. One side can be used as a workspace and the other as a living space. Because the outside walls are situated in a certain way with regard to the view from the inside, the glass walls are looking at the best side of the surroundings. In this way the incoming of daylight is used at its best. The other side of the object can stay visually closed, just like the oldfashioned shed, and the glass side gets a more modern, private appearance. |
